Burning Talking Points

Dear Mr and Ms Wall Street Protestor,

After listening to news radio, I decided to weigh in on this whole “Take over Wall Street” that is going on in New York. Let’s get some interesting facts out-of-the-way first:

  1. 85% of the people protesting are employed.
  2. People who work on Wall Street average between 70 to 100,000 dollars a year.
  3. 75% of the people protesting voted for President Obama.
  4. Out of that 75%, only 42% will vote for him again.
  5. What they are protesting:
    1. The wealthy.
    2. Unemployment
    3. Bail outs.

This is what you get when everyone gets a trophy. No sense of how to improve and envy of those with a bigger trophy then the one you got. That is what this is all about really. You got more money than me and it isn’t fair. That is all they are saying in reality. The complaints about what CEO makes a year is stupid. A vast majority of CEO had to sacrifice, spend long hours at the office, and play politics to help their employees. Out of number of CEO running American Companies, a very small percentage makes more 100 million a year. We are talking less that 1% of CEO management. Those that do make that much money EARNED it. They work just has hard or even harder than those screaming about them, plus they have a greater responsibility than those carrying a picket sign. They make decisions that keeps a company in existence.

I agree that the bail outs should have never happen. The capitalist system is base on reward and punishment. You work hard make the right choices, you are rewarded. You make the wrong choice, you are punished by the lost of your company. The U.S. Government, or more precise certain Government officials, had invested these companies and stand to lose their money. We can’t have that can we Senator Barney Frank? The bail-out failed. Yes, smallest numbers of jobs were saved, but the lesson that was learned that the Government will bail your company out when in trouble.  These company, including the Auto Companies, should have crashed and burn. Yes, that means people would have lost their jobs. Think about it. Who is really to blame for American Auto Companies finical troubles? The United Auto Worker has contracted themselves out of jobs. It is that simple reality that no one wants to hear because they would have to see the reality of what Unions really do to this country. They cause people to lose their jobs to other countries because they ask for far too much in pay and benefits. Instead being partners with these companies, they chose to be the enemy.

Right now, my company is hiring. We are talking about a job that pays on average 950.00 dollars a week after taxes. No one is applying. Why? The answer is simple. They get money from the Government for free. Someone goes on unemployment today and get benefits for the next 18 months. It has been proven that a majority of people don’t start looking for work until their unemployment is almost gone. Thanks to Democrats and President Obama we have the highest unemployment level in American history. You can also thank them for making you dependent on the U.S. Government for almost everything. Never mind that hard-working people are flipping the bill here and that this bill will continue to be pay for generations.

The American Dream achieve by hard work and wish to improve yourself. It has never been presented to anyone on a silver platter.  That 1% that achieves that level of wealth fought for it and pushes themselves to level. They didn’t wake up one morning and WHAMO! They were rich. These people want the gold without the work. They want everyone on the same level. That happened in another country. It was called Russia. No remember those news reports showing the bread lines in Russia, or how poverty was more pronounced. Do yourself a favor Mr and Ms Wall Street Protestor, appreciate what you have and not be envious of those that have more. You want to have that level of wealth, work for it with every fiber of your being.
